Reliability Engineer
Current● Manages reliability testing for new products using a Physics-of-Failure approach○ Conducts Accelerated Life Testing (ALT) including Thermal Cycling, Salt Fog, HighTemp/RH, UV Degradation○ Calculation of MTBF for all new products using FIDES, Telcordia, and MIL-217methods○ Uses real world weather data to develop Accelerated Life Testing plans based uponexpected product use cases○ Root Cause Analysis of Mechanical and Electrical failures during engineering and ofField Returns using standard Failure Analysis methods including Optical Microscopy,X-Ray, Thermal Imaging, FTIR, SEM○ Works closely with Mechanical, Electrical, RF, and Systems engineering teams toconduct Design for Reliability (DfR)○ Prediction of field failure rates based upon observed failures using a combination ofstatistics, real-world weather data, and FEA and Monte Carlo simulation● Leads New Product Introduction for Parts, Materials, and Processes team.○ Testing and selection of adhesives for use in new products and as part of sustainedengineering○ Testing and selection of polymers for injection molding and thermoforming○ Testing and selection of coatings used for metal parts
