I love improving processes and enabling people to do their best work. I also realize that it is vital that those people and processes have a secure operating environment. Without proper security, the reputations and resources of people and companies can be lost in a few keyboard strokes.👨🎓Education👨🎓I studied engineering for several years, but contracted severe pneumonia two years in a row. This gave me some time to reexamine my goals, and I decided to add international business to my repertoire as well. Because of my broad background, I've had a lot of success working with interdisciplinary teams.💼Career Background💼My work experience spans multiple countries and disciplines. I grew up in and began my career in Alaska, where harsh weather and unpredictable logistical challenges hardened my resilience. My experience in telecommunications and water utility operations taught me how to deploy and maintain complex networks and apply theoretical knowledge to practical environments. I often needed to make quick decisions under pressure.I've trained personnel in supply chain security and efficiency, and developed concise communication skills in difficult, occasionally dangerous environments. The database solution I designed was used as a template by my employer's international headquarters.💻Computer Languages💻I've written programs for school, work and personal projects in C++, C, Python, Golang, MATLAB, and Javascript (some a lot more than others). I also have scripting experience using Bash and Powershell.🗺️Human Languages🗺️I am approaching professional working proficiency in Russian, and am close to a conversational level of Spanish.
