Manage the removal defense legal team of staff attorneys, legal assistants, administrative assistants, and volunteers. Responsible for onboarding and training of staff, case assignments and distribution, case strategy, ensuring completion of grants and funding deliverables.

Maintain a large active caseload. Provide removal defense legal services with a focus on asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.Manage removal defense legal team and pro bono attorney project.

Interview asylum applicants; adjudicate their claims in accordance with US immigration laws and CIS directives; research historic and current conditions in applicants' countries of origin.

Advise Immigration Judges on legal and factual basis for cases before the Court; draft judicial decisions for applications for relief—including asylum, withholding of removal, CAT, adjustment of status, and cancelation of removal—and motions to reopen, terminate, and suppress.Give presentations to judges on evolving legal issues and create standard language materials for the Court. Manage interns and supervise new attorneys.
