Growing up on a family dairy farm, I learned the value of hard work and the importance of Agriculture. After graduation from Va. Tech I became a managing partner of the family farm, Rocby Holsteins. In 2000 I accepted the position of Executive Secretary of The Virginia State Dairymen's Association and in 2008 became Chesapeake Agricultural Coordinator for Waterstewardship Inc- a non-profit-. based in Annapolis Md. I am a Va. Real Estate licencee with Lee and Associates in Harrisonburg, Va where I specialize in farm and recreational real estate. I have worked extensively in both agriculture and environmental sectors and currently am a Gubernatorial appointed member of the Citizens Advisory Council for the Chesapeake Bay representing Va. I believe strongly that when agriculture and the environment work as a synergistic dynamic system, both agriculture and the environment benefit. I have been a Va. certified EMT and served as president of the Bridgewater Rescue Squad.
