A highly experienced sports scientist, with a specialisation in applied sport and exercise muscle physiology

The primary objective of the current position is the provision of sports science support to directed Olympic Winter Institute of Australia sport programs and leading the winter sports research programs to ensure an athlete performance improvement is the primary outcome. This includes being an active OWIA team member in providing sport science coordination across all disciplines with particular focus and delivery of physiology and strength and conditioning support. Support includes quantification of training loads, programming and periodisation of conditioning programs, identification of and quantification of adaptations to training and development.

Providing physiological support to the National Talent Identification and Development division of the Australian Sports Commission with a primary focus on the combat sports

The primary focus of the position was for the provision of team management and leadership to the joint Australian Institute of Sport and Olympic Winter Institute of Australia Skeleton program. In addition the role required to lead Sports Science support for the Skeleton and Short Track Speed Skating programs, providing sport science coordination across all disciplines with particular focus and delivery of physiology and strength and conditioning support. Support included quantification of training loads, programming and periodisation of conditioning programs, identification of and quantification of adaptations to training and development. Other functions performed included assisting the winter sports research programs leading to performance improvement outcomes. Senior physiologist duties performed include physiological support provided to a select number of Australian Institute of Sport scholarship or camps based sports and conducting applied sports research that leads to an improvement in athlete performance.
