My passion for the future and area of interest is workplace motivation. The average American will work for 40 or more years. My goal is to assist in making those experiences as enjoyable as possible to increase productivity and overall job satisfaction for as many workers as I have the opportunity to influence. I intend to further my education in Industrial-Organizational psychology to further my knowledge and best prepare for my career goals. In the meantime, my goal is to gather as much relevant real-world experience as possible with these objectives in mind.After attending the University of Alabama and graduating with a major in Psychology and minor in Business, I spent time working with behaviorally challenged juvenile delinquents as well as lifestyle and fitness coaching. Following my time in Alabama I spent 3 months bicycling across the United States from Charleston, South Carolina to Seattle, Washington. This experience taught me a number of life lessons, the biggest of which was consistency: sustained effort toward a seemingly insurmountable goal and ultimate achievement despite ongoing challenges along the way. I have since moved back to Memphis and have been working as a Substance Abuse Counselor assisting opiate abuse patients regain a sense of normalcy and make progress toward individual recovery goals. Additionally, I have returned to my passion of training clients toward fitness and nutrition goals.
