Job Title - Senior Non Commissioned Officer • Serve as the advisor to the staff sergeant and Lieutenant of a platoon, responsible for health, welfare, discipline and performance of 60 personnel consisting of circa 11 junior NCOs and 49 soldiers• Responsibility for £900,000 value of equipment• Ensuring that all equipment and personnel were ready for operations at all times, including training, coaching and personnel support• Managed and supervised logistical operations procedures, overseeing administration and training support, safety control and supply requirements during deployment, along with contingency training in a split country deployment• Liaising with external agencies with regards to ordering and handling specialist equipment• Ensuring all aspects of H&S at work Act 1979 are adhered to, including COSH and Hazchem transportation for fuel, weapons and ammunition 2000-200 - British Armed Forces Job Title - Junior Non Commissioned Officer • Day-to-day running of a Platoon, ensuring that all personnel are trained and equipment is serviced and up to operational standards• Co-ordinating section deployment whilst on operational ready tasks and exercise’s• Ensuring section personnel adhere strictly to safety procedures whilst deploying on Operations• Ensuring all platoon fleets within anti-tank platoon are serviced at the correct periodical intervals• Inspecting vehicles to satisfy current vehicle and road safety standers• Ensuring records of servicing and inspections are carried out correctly and recorded in the correct manor• Health and safety in work place compliance at all times in and around work
