My role in the industry has always been with a focus on the rights of cannabis business owners. I believe in competition, and as such, I want to see my colleagues succeed as much as I want to succeed. That comes with a caveat; I'm committed to a regulated marijuana marketplace, therefore, in regulated markets, I only support the licensed businesses who have made the commitment and taken the risks associated with legal marijuana businesses. To that end, I'm also committed to working with governments and agencies attempting to create regulations, so that a regulatory structure can be created that is not only rigorous in keeping criminals out of the business, but is fair for those who have gone to great lengths and expense to be involved in a licensed cannabis business.My time as a legislative analyst, lobbyist, and owner/operator of multiple marijuana businesses has been a blessing, in that I am able to help create policies that both protect public safety and promote good business in this emerging marketplace.
