Performed large project management for a leading global printer manufacturor including managing the acquisition and implementation of a large Teradata warehouse.Served as an interim CIO for 9 months at a regional power generation company. While in the role, I defined a 5 year IT strategy and a 2 year IT roadmap. I was also responsible for the delivery of a successful NERC CIP assessment, security improvements, and the definition and lauch of a Billing system replacement project.Defined and delivered the strategy and roadmap for moving a global clothing retailor from a mainframe application infrastructure to a distributed Unix based infrastructure.Provided senior project management for two Oracle application implementations. These were Advanced Accounts Receivables and Incentive Compensation.

I was hired by LexisNexis, a subsidiary of Reed Elsevier, to manage the group responsible for implementing PeopleSoft ERP and HR applications. I started with a team of 6 people who were responsible for 1 PeopleSoft ERP system and 1 PeopleSoft HR system. I assembled and managed a team of 25 people responsible for implementation and life cycle support of 9 very large PeopleSoft systems that support multiple Reed Elsevier companies in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. A few of our key accomplishments are:Very successful implementations of 6 PeopleSoft Financial systems, 1 PeopleSoft CRM system, and 2 PeopleSoft HR systems hosted in the Dayton Data Center with worldwide internet access. Major modules include Billing, Order Management, Contracts, CRM Order Capture, Transaction Billing Processor, Accounts Recievable, Purchasing, Inventory, Asset Management, Project Costing, Resource Management, General Ledger, Employee Administration, Benefits Administration, Payroll Interface, and eRecruit.Many successful upgrades including version 3 to version 5, version 5 to version 7, and version 7 to several different versions of PeopleSoft 8.Implementations include integrated internet self service portals, full workflow, and document management.Close partnership with Oracle/PeopleSoft development organizations. For example, Oracle/PeopleSoft contracted with my team to enhance the CRM order capture functionality. The code that we developed was released by Oracle as part of PeopleSoft 9.0.

Sabre Systems was a software division of Moore Business Forms. Our software products were CourtView and RecordView. CourtView was the market leading software package for criminal, civil, and traffic case management. RecordView was a leading package for land records management, imaging, and mapping. Managed a 3 million dollar development project to create a custom version of CourtView to automate the New York City Municipal Traffic Courts.Managed a 1 million dollar project to implement an integrated case management and imaging system for the traffic courts in Lean County and Brevard County in Florida.Managed a 1.5 million dollar project to implement an integrated case management and imaging system for the Civil Court in Montgomery County, Ohio.Managed and lead the R&D and design for the second generation of CourtView software..Designed and coordinated all Sabre Systems trade show exhibitions in partnership with Digital Equipment Corporation, our hardware partner.

Sheffield Measurement was a leading manufacturer and distributor of precision coordinate measuring machines. As a senior software engineer, I worked on VAX VMS and Windows NT based custom software to automate and integrate our robotic CMMs into factory machining cells and factory networks. A few of my key accomplishments were:Responsible for the inter-process communications design for the Sheffnet factory cell controller software. This software ran on MicroVax computers and handled all control and communications for the Apollo and Pentrax inspection robot cells.Responsible for the technical design, user interface and multi-language capability for the WIndows NT version of Sheffnet.Lead a 1 million dollar development project to create a German version of Sheffnet for a V8 cylinder head inspection cell for Mercedes Benz.Lead a 1 million dollar development project to create a custom version of Sheffnet for head and block inspection cells for the new Saturn plant in Springhill, Tennessee. I worked very closely with the GM Tech Center in Detroit to do pre-sales support for this project.Lead a 1 million dollar development project to create a custom version of Sheffnet for a fully automated inspection cell for the GE Jet Engine factory on Lynn Massachusetts.
