About Dan Burk
After completion of my graduate degree in Dec. 2018, I have continued here in the Dept. of Earth & Environmental Sciences, in the Seismotectonics Laboratory as the Research & Development engineer.I support the department with field applications work, both here in Michigan but also for station deployments in central Asia, as well as places such as Alaska. I am also writing software for supporting legacy seismic data research, working on databases, and solving metadata issues. When I'm not doing all that, I am also playing with our own small seismic station network here in mid-Michigan.
