This employment was my year in industry as part of my degree, responsibilities included:• Provided analysis on large datasets to inform senior colleagues and stakeholders of patterns which could provide evidence of a new policy’s effectiveness or areas of concern.• Gathered and analysed data to measure the performance of our area of the department against pre-determined annual targets.Skills developed:• I really sharpened my problem-solving skills, as I had to constantly correct errors in code and figure out how to make a dataset suitable for a task.• Gained confidence in presenting my work, as I regularly had to present work to my team and stakeholders. • Progressed my IT skills, I clocked up hundreds of hours using Microsoft Excel and now I feel comfortable completing most tasks on this application. I also gained experience using the statistical software SAS from this role.
