About Dan Callaghan
With over 25 years experience within the motor industry ending in a master tech qualification and moving into management. I have taken these skills to deliver them to students from 16-19 and quickly establishing the many SEN and personal struggles of these learners. I threw myself into the world of safeguarding and developed skills needed to help these learners achieve. I have used my own personal struggles from childhood and developed empathy to build bonds and support learners in their academic journey, as well as their personal one.

CurrentOrganise and deliver learning materials to students ages 15 upwards in, both theory and practical aspects in order for them to achieve levels 1, 2 and 3 in automotive maintenance and repair to IMI standards. Mentoring students in all aspect of learning, designing and implementing learning plans and assignments. Maintaining vehicles for use during the courses. Liaising with parents and carers in relation to progress and discipline. Supporting students with personal and emotional issues and signposting to relevant support teams when needed. Uploading information to Pro systems regarding progress and behaviour as well as CPOMS when required. Mens mental health lead for both staff and students throughout the whole college.
