Dan is an Executive Director and Senior Research Analyst leading sector coverage for Financial Services at Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s sustainable investing business, Calvert Research and Management. He supports public market equity strategies with sustainable investing mandates.Previously, he was the Senior Advisor for the Office of Financial Institutions at the United States Department of the Treasury, where he was the principal policy adviser and chief of staff to the Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions. In that role he focused on a range of issues impacting the global financial system, including efforts on financial regulatory reform, policies related to cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and other emerging financial technologies, and cybersecurity. He also spent time working in an investment management capacity on various funds established following the Global Financial Crisis to support the U.S. financial system. Dan began his career as an Analyst in the corporate finance group at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Immediately thereafter he worked in an internal strategy capacity where he focused on corporate development initiatives and principal M&A transactions.Dan holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a B.B.A. in finance from Miami University (Oxford, OH).
