I graduated with a bachelor of Science in 2009 from Missouri State University with a major in Interior Design.My senior year in college, I started my design career by interning with Thomas Manche Interiors, interacting with clients, designing proposals, and managing several different projects. In May of 2010, I became a Design Consultant for The Tile Shop in St. Louis, MO soon moving up to Assistant Manager. In May of 2011, I took the skills from The Tile Shop and started a career with Ashley Home Furniture as a Room Consultant and Sales Associate. I was in that position for a year before a new position opened up as a Furniture Technician. With the skills I learned at Missouri State University as well as my Internship, I was able to pass a series of tests that proved my ability for the position.Throughout my time at Ashley Home Furniture, I have moved my way up to Senior Furniture Technician Trainer. This is a new program that was started by myself as a means to travel to nearby states to train other promising future technicians to keep the trade highly sought after. I have now worked in this industry for almost 10 years and I believe that all the positions I have held have made me into a more well-rounded designer, technician, and employee. My current role as a Warranty Customer Care Manager with Fischer Homes allows me to use my creative and organisational expertise to project manage repairs needing to be made to new homes. I work one on one with homeowners to remedy issues that may have come up while living in their new home. I schedule trade workers and oversee repairs needed, as well as performing repairs personally to give clients quality results in a more timely manor.
