Extensive experience as a teacher, presenter, consultant, market researcher and strategist.Information drives strategy. And it has to be more than just raw data. Regardless of the source, there has to be insights as to what it means. I have spent my whole career focused on how to obtain information and bring it to life by understanding the ‘story’ behind numbers and what strategies to consider.My background blends the both of best worlds—through teaching I have learned how to do things by the book in marketing research, statistics and database marketing and as a consultant how to blend these guidelines with what works in the real world. As an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the Daniels College of Business, I have taught marketing research, database marketing and statistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, been the key presenter/facilitator at a marketing research conference, and presented marketing research tools and techniques to seminar attendees. In addition, I have appeared as a guest lecturer on a nationally televised distance learning course.As a marketing researcher, I have over 20 years’ experience planning, designing, analyzing and reporting research findings for membership organizations, companies involved in marketing to consumers or other businesses, as well as work on public opinion issues and political races. Expertise is in surveys and focus groups, Topic areas include branding, image, positioning, customer satisfaction, segmentation, advertising development and new product development. In trademark confusion and infringement cases, I have been a consultant and also testified as an expert witness.Project experience includes the use of advanced statistical techniques to expand the clarity, insight and actionability of the research findings and includes many of the leading tools and techniques: crosstabulations, statistical tests of significance, time-series, regressions, segmentation, perceptual mapping, conjoint and Max Diff.
