Law Enforcement Specialist (Instructor)

Utilize the DHS Modified Infrastructure Survey Tool (MIST) to conduct recurring Facility Security Assessments (FSA) to complete a detailed analytical report and formally present findings to high level officials at the multiple federal agencies; Assess and determine the Facility Security Level (FSL) in accordance with agency procedures and analyze the effect of Design Basis Threat (DBT) mitigation strategies. Develop formalized threat analysis reports for tenants and occupants; Present findings and recommendations, including baseline countermeasures to Facility Security Committee (FSC) members in order to mitigate risk; Conduct planning, design, implementation, testing, and verification and validation of technical countermeasures; conduct Functionality Testing and Measure of Effectiveness procedures for all FPS-responsible technical countermeasures (e.g., Magnetometers, X- ray, CCV, and IDS) by monitoring functional operations

• Investigations: I have conducted investigations on all levels of criminal cases ranging from traffic offenses to minor misdemeanor offenses to serious aggravated felonies including homicide, rape, arson, aggravated assaults, battery and sex offenses. Utilized and directed K-9 units in the search for narcotics and suspects that have fled from the scene. Assisted and supervised K-9 units in the apprehension of suspects. The diversity of approaches included neighborhood watch, community policing, urban or physical design and comprehensive or multi-disciplinary efforts. • Reporting: Completed reports to ensure that all individuals involved were informed and granted appropriate civil rights. I used electronic reporting systems to initiate, edit and produce comprehensive, accurate reports that occurred within my assigned area of responsibility.
