I’As a part of the wider Revenue Assurance Services team I have responsibility for end to end revenue assurance for one of New Zealand’s large full-service providersMy role mixes proactive and reactive RA approaches and covers; • Consultative services to core and IT developments - ensuring revenue assurance is built into all new products/services and operations, • Responsibility for minimising revenue leakage from daily BSS operations including full switch to bill reconciliations• Routine monitoring, analysis and reporting of revenue issues to the senior leadership team• Championing revenue assurance throughout 2degrees and providing strategic insights to 2degrees’ future revenue assurance direction. The successful delivery of my role utilises sound technical understanding of telecoms network and billing operations, but equally important are people management skills. Operating as a small RA team means championing RA but ensuring the uptake of robust operating practices is the responsibility of the lines of business not the RA team. Providing visibility and empowering ownership of revenue responsibility within each operational team is key to my success.

In my role of Account Manager I am responsible for the development of our business through the sale and delivery of end to end assurance services. This still includes the traditional reseller engagements but in the last 12 months I have also sold end to end to solutions, Consultancy services and managed services. Key to my success is building long term business relationships with key decision makers and influencers at all levels management. Recent Highlights:• Work recognised in monthly journal by CEO of major mobile operator• Solution for a major NZ mobile operator to manage customer bill shock experienced whilst using roaming data services • Provision of 100Gbps IP traffic validation system with strategic expansion into application layer testing at the same data rate – currently first in NZ• Strategic consultancy to NZ’s largest fixed line operator to move from a network element based support model to an end to end service assurance based model• Provision of trouble shooting and surveillance system to rural broadband provider• Provided fraud management solution for large fixed and mobile operator

Working as the technical account manager for a Pan-Tasman mobile phone operator, I took this organisation forward as lead customers for the new UMTS assurance solution. I also acted as the solution architect and general account manager for all other sales into these organisations.• Design SMS content retrieval and storage system for agency liaison work• Provide the first UMTS assurance solution in region • Moved customer to a managed service support contract, • Expansion of NZ UMTS monitoring to cover Iu-b linksFor the two years I was the Technical Account manager, I realised 160% and 130% of my sales quota.

Built a revenue assurance portfolio from a number of existing product lines – including Fraud management, OSS, trouble shooting, surveillance and data mining. • Provide strategic direction to expand existing fraud management products and OSS components into a wider Revenue Assurance Portfolio• Bring this Revenue Assurance product to the sales organisation and champion Revenue Assurance within the sales team• Present our new Revenue Assurance product line at 2 conferences

As Director Solution Design I had the direct sales responsibility to our existing customer base and indirect sales responsibility through our leading channel. I also managed three of our prime sales enabling processes; Bid Management, Technical Sales Support and Business Consultancy.• Provided end to end design for Fraud Management Solutions for five international mobile operators• Managed the bid process, winning two of the five RFPs we responded to• Implemented a “Total Care” approach to the management of our existing customer base doubling up-sell revenues• Sold and provided our first revenue assurance consultancy only services

I had ultimate responsibility for the successful delivery of all the systems sold by our company.• I formed the installation team and grew this to 14 people• My team grew the installed customer base from 2 to 9 systems • Eventually established an outsourced delivery team in Pakistan to manage increasing delivery costs

Major Achievements• Presented at 6 international conferences as BT’s Fraud Management Consultant• Provided fraud and risk management consultancy services for two of BT’s European start up ventures• Responsible for the test and acceptance of BT’s first ISDN Multiplexer prior to service launch• Member of the 3 man team responsible for the test and acceptance of BT’s calling card service
