• Responsible for metro network planning in the central and midwestern U.S., which includes all Level 3 markets in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio.
• Prepare funding requests for transport network builds.
• Manage requests for services from the sales team ranging from DS1 to 10 Gig waves, including metro private line Ethernet.
• Project planning for large scale network deployments including cost analysis.
• Manage projects regarding design and implementation of metro DWDM/CWDM, SONET networks and most recently, Ethernet transport networks.
• Work closely with integration teams to determine the most effective course of action for integration of multiple acquired networks.

• Primary role involved DWDM and SONET network design, implementation and maintenance at corporate level. Used state of the art DWDM/SONET technology to provide bandwidth for services ranging from DS1 to 2.5G waves.
• Work with the sales team and sales engineers to produce the best solutions for various customer applications.
• Responsible for design, ordering, install, test/turn-up and maintenance/troubleshooting of DWDM and SONET long haul network
• Perform network reconfigurations including installing, removing, and provisioning circuits and equipment.
• Provide technical expertise on the DWDM network to fellow employees for troubleshooting and repair.
• Create and track timelines and budgets for multi-million dollar fiber network projects.

• Responsible for installing, maintaining, monitoring, testing and troubleshooting circuits from DS0 level and up, including DWDM and ATM.
• Direct field technicians on testing and maintenance of circuits.
• Train new employees.

• Perform weekly PM’s on generators and UPS systems.

• Deployed, operated and sustained ground and space based satellite, Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) wideband communications, telemetry, and instrumentation systems.
