While at the BBC (March 2013 - October 2015), I was responsible for developing factual dramas across BBC Factual, focusing on the History and Science genres. Alongside this development role, I worked in production as the factual producer on The Gamechangers, a 1 x 90' drama focusing on the people behind the video game Grand Theft Auto, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Bill Paxton, (BBC2, Sept 15 2015).

I freelanced between various TV companies such as Nutopia, Brook Lapping and BBC Scotland.

I was the Head of Research at Dangerous Films, focusing on factual dramas for major networks around the world. I worked with Neil Armstrong and the crew of Apollo 11, with D-Day veterans and with 9/11 survivors, among others. I wrote three bestselling books accompanying our films, D-Day (published by the BBC, 2004), Blackbeard, (National Maritime Museum, 2006) and Moonshot (Random House, 2009).

I was a journalist with BBC local radio, then from 1998 a senior broadcast journalist at BBC News Online (and Ceefax).
