- Create and administer the NDT Qualification and certification program at Blue Origin Orbital Launch Site.- Develop and implement new novel NDT inspection techniques and inspections such as Infrared Flash Thermography and Eddy Current Array inspection techniques.- Create and develop hardware and software tools to streamline and increase the efficiency of various NDT related activities such as NDT experience and training logging as well as templates and tools for reporting results of inspections, etc.- Train and mentor junior NDT Engineers and Inspectors in various NDT inspection technologies and systems.- Coordinate with other departments such as Design Engineering and Materials and Processes to develop, refine and implement inspection defect criteria and plan the details of how to inspect to meet these criteria.- Work with other NDT Engineers and management to create internal NDT processes and services to support an ever increasing customer base.- Support the qualification and monitoring / auditing of Blue Origin NDT related suppliers worldwide.

Team Lead for a group of Seven Senior Level NDE engineers and two IT professionals. Provide direction, mentoring, scheduling, and communication link within group as well as with external organizations and outside suppliers. Perform most management functions including hiring and review of personnel performance, team meetings, project reviews and management and development of projects and programs. Training and evaluation of less experienced employees and need to drive innovation within the group. Provide NDE engineering and development solutions for the energy industry including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and other miscellaneous items. Lead and formulate new development projects within and outside the engineering organization. Work with and collaborate with all areas of the company including, engineering, manufacturing, quality and service.Designed, created and implemented several new and unique software packages used to enhance department efficiency and productivity. These packages include an NDE qualification and certification system that allows tracking of NDE certifications as well as provides and archives all testing and qualification records of NDE personnel at various locations throughout the USA.

• Analyze customer specifications / requirements and provide NDE / Quality Engineering solutions for Space Shuttle flight hardware and ground support (GSE) systems• Propose and implement solutions to space program NDE and quality issues including project management and budgeting of large scale initiatives• Interface with upper level management and various engineering and technical organizations to solve quality and NDE problems• Devise sampling procedures, design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting, quality and NDE data• Create and deliver presentations to all corporate levels concerning development projects, engineering reports, project status reports and problem resolution team (PRT) results• Compile/write training material and conduct training sessions for NDE, Lean Six Sigma and Quality Engineering activities• Review and approve Engineering changes and specifications per aerospace quality standards• Develop methods for inspection, testing, sampling, and training of personnel• Provide vendor surveillance and Quality Engineering support including compliance audits for conformance to company quality standards and witness of first article inspections• Perform statistical process control (SPC) techniques to meet customer requirements using lean and six sigma tools• Design and lead Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Projects through all DMAIC phases• Train and mentor junior engineers• Facilitate the transition of engineering development projects down to workable floor level operations• Charter and lead internal and external process improvements and serve as department POC for various corporate initiatives

Utilized computer literacy to automate redundant NDE technician inspection reporting functions. Key player in the initial development and subsequent implementation of ultrasonic bolt tensioning NDE techniques on the Space Shuttle fleet.
