As an energy-efficiency professional, I believe efficiency programs play a critical role in combatting climate change and creating energy systems that are resilient, efficient, and equitable. My background has been in residential and small commercial electrification/decarbonization, with a particular focus on and interest in utilizing heat pumps as a clean, energy-efficient technology that can help decarbonize our home and business space, and water heating sectors. Additionally, in my past roles, I have have overseen a rapidly expanding active demand response program that leverages residential and commercial scale batteries, residential thermostats, and commercial load curtailment to reduce peak load on the grid. More recently, I have transitioned into a management position where I oversee our customer service and outreach which includes our marketing and call center teams at the Compact, as well as the new Energy Saver Home Loan program. In all of these roles my focus has been making decarbonization understandable, accessible, and maybe even a little less of a scary topic. Large scale decarbonization requires us to use understandable language and provide regular guidance and assistance on folks electrification journeys. In this role I have able to utilize my leadership skills that I have developed in past roles such as working in Higher Education and running AmeriCorps programs.
