As Editorial Director for Life Science Leader magazine, I'm responsible for project management and quality control duties along with some marketing. I assign and coordinate which articles go in each issue and copy edit those articles to make sure they meet our quality guidelines. I then work with our graphic designer to ensure all of the content fits into an issue and meets our layout standards. Once an issue is finished, I schedule all of that content to be included in our email newsletters for the month as well as coordinate all of the related social media.Prior to focusing exclusively on Life Science Leader, I performed similar duties (including layout) for some of the other magazines we produce. In 2014, I also was the project manager for our custom content. This entailed scoping each project with the client, assigning an appropriate freelance writer, and managing the process through to completion.

In June 2012, I released my first book, "9 Years Of Rock: The Story Of The Concerts At The Erie County Fieldhouse." The book chronicles all of the rock-n-roll concerts that occurred during 1974-1983 at this now-defunct sports arena/concert venue in Erie, PA. It includes facts and firsthand anecdotes about the concerts from bands such as KISS, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, Peter Frampton, Santana, AC/DC, Boston, Van Halen, BTO, the Bay City Rollers, and Cheap Trick.

This was a type of quality control position where I reviewed and provided feedback on the content written for our technology-focused magazines and websites. In this role, I was also involved in the hiring and training of all writers.

I was the editor in charge of writing about AIDC (automatic identification and data collection) technologies (e.g. RFID, bar codes) and POS (point of sale) technologies as they relate to the channel (e.g. sold through VARs, resellers, dealers, systems integrators, ISVs). In this role, I wrote articles for Business Solutions magazine, and I traveled to various trade shows and moderated some industry panels.

As PR coordinator, I not only handled all advertising- and PR-related activities (e.g. writing/coordinating collateral development, media relations, trade show coordination) I maintained the hospital's first relational database (i.e. CRM) related to marketing and referrals. As Director of Business Development I was responsible for managing the team of rehab liaisons (i.e. marketers), case managers, and admissions staff.
