In the fall of 2023, I decided to continue the progress that my late coworker, Ed Miseta, had achieved with Clinical Leader, by becoming the site's Chief Editor. Clinical Leader is an online resource and forum to investigate and resolve the common struggles related to running effective clinical trials.Overall, writing, editing, content creation, social media engagement, project management, and magazine design are the types of duties that have dominated my career. Finding and creating content that is concise, clear, and valuable to a target audience is what I do best, and I enjoy collaborating with others to achieve those goals. My experience includes 10 years in hospital PR/marketing and 24+ years in magazine publishing. For the latter, I started out writing about supply chain, retail, and channel/VAR/integrator technology topics. In 2009, I helped launch Life Science Leader, a B2B physical magazine with about 25,000 subscribers that focused on the business aspects of the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries.

I assign and coordinate which articles go in each issue and copy edit those articles to make sure they meet our quality guidelines. I then work with our graphic designer to ensure all of the content fits into an issue and meets our layout standards. Once an issue is finished, I schedule all of that content to be included in our email newsletters for the month as well as coordinate all of the related social media.Prior to focusing exclusively on Life Science Leader, I performed similar duties (including layout) for some of the other magazines we produce. In 2014, I also was the project manager for our custom content. This entailed scoping each project with the client, assigning an appropriate freelance writer, and managing the process through to completion.
