Operation Department Project Manager at Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) Facility in Wallops Island, VA. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. Project Coordinator duties include interfacing with potential mission customers, preparing and coordinating the plans and schedules in support of live SCSC fleet operations, integration of new combat systems elements, multi-platform training missions, fleet emergent missions, activation of new baselines and equipment and development of new mission capabilities. Project Coordinators review potential mission test plans and initiate all the actions required to carry out missions from early planning through post-mission analysis. Technically interface and coordinate with all SCSC work areas including Major Programs, Operations, Engineering, Readiness and Configuration Management. Preparing all required technical documentation to include Site Change Implementation Notices (SCIN) and the development of technical drawings for test set-ups. Project Coordinators develop estimates of man-hours and associated costs to carry out mission events, including analysis of effects of projects on overall site operation.Project Coordinators superintend the execution of all aspects of project missions, including participatingin the actual execution of mission events. Project Coordinators work with Site Test Directors to ensurethat all requirements are in place to carry out mission objectives. Project Coordinators coordinate anddevelop post-mission analysis, including distributing lesson's learned to all stake-holders with an eyetoward improvement of future project missions.

Running events and coordinating techs and operators for set-ups, troubleshooting, shut-down and data recording. Main interface with customer/user.Perform the duties of a Test Director (TD) who is the single point of contact to liaise with the customer and provide technical assistance related to the baseline under test in accordance with the scheduleOversee and assist in the setup for mission events. Setup involves coordination with the customer(s), Combat Systems, and Operations departments to identify event equipment and computer program configuration, obtaining computer programs and electronic data from the Technical Library or electronic load management system, installation of computer programs, loading of computers and energizing equipment in accordance with procedures, establishment of interface switch paths, performing system checkout, and system verificationEnsure the collection system recorded data during the eventOversee and assist in the systematic take down / reset at the completion of the mission eventObtain a post-event critique from each customer and ensure it is entered into the schedule databaseIn the event of a equipment or element casualty, the AEGIS Technical Operator/Trainer shall take necessary steps to correct the problem unless a workaround is required. If a workaround is required, the AEGIS Technical Operator/Trainer shall contact the Government with the recommendation and obtain approval prior to implementation.Provide a critique of each customer event into the site scheduling database toolProvide project coordination support to include participation in meetings, discussions and communications to support the development of an execution plan for each project to lay out project tasks to meet project objectives

Interpretation of 2D drawings from Caterpillar Engineering and conversion/programming into 3D measurement programs. Inspections of parts (PPAP, Warranty return, std production and experimental).Left due to AQS losing contract with Caterpillar Engine facility and a No-Compete preventing subsequent employment.

Gun and Missile FireControlman for 20 years and 20 days.Major Systems schooled for and assigned to are; MK56 16" GFCS, Nuclear Weapons Procedure Supervisor (various), AEGIS FCS/ORTS/400Hz.Other NECs and education available upon request. Examples include; Area Warfare NEC, CSMM, CSSE, RDC, Basic Instructor, Advanced Instructor, etc.
