In this Role I was working on behalf of of Lloyds Banking Group in dealing with complaints regarding to the sale of Payment Protection Insurance. This involved having to rationalise whether a customer’s complaint would be upheld or declined to whether they would receive compensation for the miss sale of PPI. This role included having to collect masses of information surrounding the customers circumstances over a relevant time period, and if needed to contact the customer to collect more information to analyse and judge their complaint to a high level of certainty and fairness. This meant having to use various software’s and programs to collect such information and having to explain my findings and judgement on such findings at every step of the investigation. As this case dealt with judging a case on individual circumstances, there was new guidance released on a weekly basis on how to effectively deal with new and updated circumstances. This was part of the role to ensure that all new guidance was adhered to in place of any outdated guidance that could be detriment to the customer or Lloyds Banking Group

In this role, it was my job to calculate redresses for PPI complaints. This involved inputting large quantities of data from various internal sources into a redress calculator, whilst at the same time corresponding with other areas of the complaints team to ensure all the information is collated and to track down any information that is not. I had widespread training into their internal software, which included their extensive Data Archive system, as well as the authority to make changes on such software.
