I am passionate about promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace. Workplace diversity is important to me because I value acceptance, different perspectives, and understanding differences between people. Cultivating diversity and inclusion is an ongoing process that must evolve over time, and I am excited to be a part of this mission. In 2022, I made a career pivot to the Human Resources profession. Some of my current responsibilities include onboarding new employees, facilitating staff meetings, assisting with recruiting talented professionals, and coordinating employee appreciation events. My favorite HR podcasts are Career Compass, Honest HR and HR Happy Hour. Also, I read articles and updates from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Also, I am thankful I achieved SHRM-CP certification in July 2023! I am always open to expanding my network of professionals who are passionate and supportive of the human resources profession.
