I'm an accounts payable clerk for a food distributor. I've been with the company for the past 2 4 years. I have helped with the setting up of new EDI vendors. Looking at and making sure all our new vendors invoicing is compatible for them to go into live production. Pulling up EDI detail from GXS and Foodlink to verify mapping is correct. Looking at each detail of the invoice against our purchasing system. We carry all products from meat, produce, floral,to all types of beauty care. Each vendor has to meet every part for them to go into production. Our meat is usually billed per pound the vendor needs to have that set up correctly in order for us to give them the live production mode. Many of our heath and beauty products are pack differently. I also do our private truck billings. If product was damaged we need to bill them for the item that were. Our head of the trucking department contacts me to let know how much to invoice them for the damage,shortage or in sometime quality issues. Our trucks bring in loads for all over the US. Payment of international and import vendors.

I worked in the accounts payable departments for the first year invoicing many types of vendors. I also worked in the accounting department with all the privately owned stores. Balancing all of their store inventories, bank recs.

I worked here thru high school and Tech school. Setting up and tearing down for events.
