Dana Hunt is a Project Manager at UCSF Medical Center. Colleagues describe them as "As the manager of the Ambulatory application teams covering primary care, specialty clinics, and the MyChart patient portal, Dana Hunt was a key factor to the success of the Epic implementation at JHAH, the first in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As the director of that complex and challenging project, I was able to trust and rely on Dana’s knowledge, experience, competence, and dedication to getting things done. Dana made my job so much easier, and I would not hesitate to work with her again in any capacity. In addition to her excellent performance in her primary role, Dana was also a great overall asset as she was always eager to take on additional tasks as needed. I especially admired her morning huddle approach with her teams and her unceasing efforts to keep not only her own staff engaged and motivated, but the entire project team staff as well. On a personal note, I truly feel fortunate to have worked with Dana and consider her a friend." and "Making the transition from living in the US to Saudi Arabia was somewhat intimidating. The thought of having to adjust to a new cultural experience, to say the least, combined with not knowing what the work environment would be raised my anxiety level. The first day I met Dana, much of that anxiety was comforted. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Dana on both a personal and professional level, and there's no amount of words that can express my gratitude for having her as my manager. She made my 3 years of living and working in Saudi manageable, insightful, and more like home. As a Beacon/Ambulatory consultant on the project, I reported directly to Dana. Dana's drive to engage the team at all times and to ensure that our younger team members knew their importance in the overall success of the project was inspiring. She allowed us to explore our creative sides at solving complex problems, but also lended advice and hands-on management to ensure that all factors of resolution were considered without taking away from our autonomy. Out of my 10 years of consulting, I've never worked with a more patient person in my life! It amazed me that even with everyone elses stress level was high, the office was in a panic, Dana's resolve remained unwavered. She was always at the forefront ready to take on any tasks that came her way, and performed her duties as a manager to the fullest, and beyond. Overall, it was an absolute pleasure working with Dana, and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again! Organized, motivated, eager to learn/teach/share, with impeccable management skills; what more could one ask for?! She's become a very close friend, colleague, and collaborator and would enhance any team with her presence. Thank you for all that you've done and continue to do in my life both as a friend and colleague! Antoine D. Clinton"
