I enjoyed my 34+ years in local government leading in the areas of: Service/Public Works, Economic Development, and as City Manager responsible for all aspects of municipal operations and administration, supporting our elected City Council, and serving with and on many regional boards. I am especially proud of my time with Dublin, Ohio - a truly award-winning city. I am also proud of my 35+ year military career in the Ohio National Guard. Having enlisted as a private combat engineer then commissioned and serving as an army engineer officer most of my career. I served on leadership and staff positions as an army engineer to the rank of Colonel. I served as commander and in staff positions from platoon, battalion, brigade and division levels. I commanded Ohio's military academy (Regional Training Institute). I was promoted to Brigadier General serving as commander of one the Ohio National Guard's brigades with responsibility for several battalions and companies of various kinds (MP, Aviation, Chemical, and Special Forces). We fielded our Nation's first Homeland Response Force. My final position was Director of the Joint Staff overseeing domestic operations and supporting both the Army and Air National Guard in Ohio. I am an Iraq War Veteran.
