Adjunct Faculty
Graduate Research Fellow
I researched the extraction and transport of metals through Cl complexing during magma generation, ore deposition, and supergene enrichment. Specifically I used Cl isotopes and halogen measurements to gain insight into copper transport.
Geologist
As a part of the environmental remediation team my duties consist of organizing and managing datasets for remedial reports, developing Quality Assurance Project Plans, organizing field events, groundwater and soil sampling, reconnaissance fieldwork, and oversight of drilling and site surveying.
Researcher
For my graduate research I analyzed the genesis of large-volume, isotopically diverse rhyolites of the Picabo volcanic center of the Yellowstone hotspot track. The goal of my research was to gain deeper insight into the genesis of isotopically diverse “super-volcano” rhyolites through crustal melting and intracaldera rhyolite recycling by relating.
Graduate Teaching Fellow
As a Graduate Teaching Fellow (GTF) I have instructed labs of 25 to 80 students, proctored exams and assisted with in-class demonstrations and field trips. The courses I have been the GTF for include: Earth's Dynamic Interior, Environmental Geology and Landscape Evolution, Volcanoes and Earthquakes, and Isotope Geochemistry.
Research Assistant
For my undergraduate thesis entitled, Crustal contributions to the evolution of the Diamante Caldera-Maipo Volcanic Complex, Southern Volcanic Zone of the Andes, I studied the magma plumbing system of Volcano Maipo using whole rock geochemistry and strontium and neodymium isotopes.
Undergraduate Teaching Intern
I instructed students during in-class activities and evaluated in-class assignments for the course Natural Disasters: Hollywood vs. Reality.
