Aviation and flying have always been in my blood. It started at 16 years old as a Civil Air Patrol cadet, and on through ground school and earning my solo certificate as a young adult. I also was fortunate to have been at Reno Air from 1994 thru 1999, where I gained experience in airline operations. Those with knowledge of the industry will remember that this was a particularly exciting time with airlines rapidly expanding, aggressive competition and buyouts. My mix of education has turned out to be the ideal combination of human behavior (Psychology) and business administration (MBA). People are central to any business venture, as customers, employees, even competitors. And having a solid background in business administration allows us to pick and choose just the right tools, policies and strategies to best serve our employees and customers.
