During my career with Humana as a Technology Consultant, I’ve worked on a variety of complex projects which have significantly improved Humana’s operations. I focused on advancing business strategy through technology as a utility player who performed a wide variety of tasks.-------Case Study #1: Large (Fortune 50) healthcare company with customer service disruptions/delays from system outages with key service partners.Challenge – Humana was experiencing significant technology outages that negatively impacted customer experience through long hold times, callbacks, and poor call quality. Complex organization with highly federated vendor management model (15+ teams). Solution – Met with stakeholders to understand challenges & perspectives. Designed technology scorecard to highlight differences in service partner performance, allowing business leaders to compare vendor performance and prioritize improvements. Led new team to govern service vendor technology and worked with business leaders to adopt technology scorecard as an input to strategic decisions.Results – Achieved 71% reduction in outages during first year, increased customer satisfaction, and improved relationship with service partners.--------Case Study #2: Addressed large 1500-member department failing operational performance standards with need for a technology upgrade. Solution – Developed plan to explore technology solutions, including department leaders in evaluation and decision. Conducted market scan of potential solutions with input from Gartner, Forrester, and a consulting firm. Created and managed RFPs to evaluate 12 technology solutions for document capture and cast management. Led review and facilitated final selection with leadership & IT team. Results – Equipped department leader with well-documented evaluation and business case for new technology solution, shaped by her leadership team & IT department.
