Daniel leads the strategic execution of the Advisory Business in the Americas, consisting of all transactional work, capital markets, leasing, investment sales, and all product types and brokerage activities thereof. He is responsible for the full mobilization and integration of Cushman & Wakefield resources, expertise and services to enable clients and professionals to succeed. Daniel is passionate about developing individuals and teams, adding value for clients and their asset and portfolio strategy, leading with authenticity and giving back to the communities he serves.In addition, he leads the Capital Markets business in the Americas on an interim basis.

As President of the West Region for Cushman & Wakefield, Daniel leads a region comprised of the Western United States, Canada and Latin America. In addition, Daniel is responsible for the National Industrial Practice and he is the Executive Sponsor for the National Single Tenant Net Lease Investment Group.

Dan leads all service lines for the Southwest regions of Cushman & Wakefield, comprised of 5 regions and over 1,000 professionals. He is responsible for all aspects of the business: client engagement, growth, and talent developing. Dan oversees Capital Markets, Occupier Services, Investor Services, Property Management and Project Management in the region. Prior to this role at C&W, Dan oversaw the Northern California Region of Cushman & Wakefield, and various regions of Southern California and the Southwest.Dan led the legacy commercial real estate firm of BRE as President and CEO through the sale and merger to the national firm Cassidy Turley (July 2013). As a Board Member of Cassidy Turley, he led the Southwestern Region in the merger with the global platform of Cushman & Wakefield, and DTZ (2015). This merger was financed by a consortium led by TPG.

Dan led through the re-branding and re-positioning a regional firm with 170+ professionals. During this time the company increased revenue by 13% CAGR, while increasing EBITDA by 83% CAGR, achieving the highest EBITDA in the company's 27 year history. This resulted in the company's turnaround and sale, whereby returning shareholders a 361% increase in equity value and a 4.6 multiple in under three years. Dan elevated the level of client service, and dramatically enhanced the breadth and depth of capabilities of the platform. Dan successfully recruited new talent, he started and developed new service lines (property management and construction management), opened new geographies, and created new product specialty areas (institutional capital markets, senior housing and retail investments). He moved quickly to divest under-performing entity operations. He implemented a disciplined Performance Improvement Plan and the The Outlier Project "TOP" training and development program. Dan’s passion for the community and firm's culture was manifested in the mantra “Client. Community. Culture.” They increased charitable contributions and giving by over 400% and was consistently ranked as San Diego Business Journal as a "Best Places to Work".

Dan specialized in the institutional sales of commercial real estate (office, industrial, multifamily, and life science/R&D product). Dan completed over $8.0 billion in institutional capital markets transactions, covering the Orange County, San Diego and Phoenix markets. His team was consistently ranked as the top sales teams in each market for assets over $25 million in value.

Greater San Diego Area

Dan specialized in institutional Class A office product in the Mid and North City markets of San Diego County. He transacted landlord and tenant represented leases and sales with total consideration values in excess of $800 million. He was awarded Rookie of the Year and the Civic Leadership Award. Dan was a part of a hand selected Strategic Steering Committee that was comprised of leaders throughout the organization who focused on major company initiatives.

Dan analyzed, valued and researched the performance and competitive position of prominent, publically traded companies in the retail industry. He worked on IPO's and quarterly analyst reports, valuing sophisticated businesses and projecting future returns.
