About Dan Martin

For over 23 years I have had extensive experience in software engineering leadership. I have held various mid and senior-level leadership positions including program management (PGM), software development management, quality management, and product sustaining roles (customer-focused engineering team). Over the last 5 years, I have managed teams developing mobile applications and services. Previous to that my focus was on delivery of enterprise endpoint security solutions for Windows customers at McAfee/Intel. I have been delivering software professionally for over 30 years. For several years at McAfee/Intel, I managed an organization of over 50 persons. That team included second level managers, technical leads, and specialized experts in quality, process, and innovation. I worked very closely with executive management, PMO, HR, and Finance on all aspects of managing this organization. I have a deep understanding of the cultural challenges of managing global teams. I have met this challenge with a focus on growing team skills, developing trust and commitment with an understanding of deep cultural differences to motivate excellence and reach project goals. Have managed a global team from India, Ireland, South America, and the US. I have made DEI a key part of my management style, building My organizations that are culturally, ethnically, and gender-diverse to be able to take on the challenges of the future by ensuring that different perspectives and ideas are a part of our collective vision.
