Responsible for directing the strategies and day to day operations across SBC’s Internet companies, which include Pacific Bell Internet, Southwestern Bell Internet, Ameritech.net, Southern New England Internet, and Prodigy. This included expanding the Internet product line both regionally and nationally and growing the subscriber base to over 3.2 million customers, making SBC Internet Services the 4th largest ISP in the United States generating more than $1 billion in annual revenue. While president, NetworkWorld Fusion recognized SBC Internet Services it as the number one regional ISP and Interactive Week Magazine recognized it as the number two business ISP in the United States.

Responsible for leading the operational and information system strategies for Ameritech’s start-up Internet product portfolio, which included Ameritech yellowpages.net (an online shopping and directory service), dial-up Internet access, Ameritech.net (SM), high-speed access, business IP services, Web site development, and Web hosting. This included leading the efforts of the Network Operations Center, Operations Engineering, and the Customer Care and Billing Services Unit. Additional responsibilities included IT Operational Support System development and deployment, leading the maintenance and management of the Internet network for Ameritech, the operational development of new products and services.
