About Daniela Brauner
PhD in Computer Science from PUC-Rio, with an emphasis on database interoperability. Posdoc in 2015 working on machine learning improvements using semantics. She now works as Research Engagement Manager at GEANT, currently living in Cambridge-UK. In Brazil, she is a licensed professor from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, where she was also a researcher on topics related to data analysis, AI, open data, data-driven, data interoperability, linked-data, ontologies and semantic web. Former Director of the Center for Studies and Research in Administration (CEPA), where she worked on research involving data science to support decision-making in government and business (Business Analytics / Data Science / Machine Learning). She worked in the coordination of the UFRGS incubator network (Reintec) with the mission of integrating efforts and results from the different incubators, integrating the board of directors of the Zenit UFRGS Scientific and Technological Park. Before that, worked at the Brazilian National Research and Education Network, RNP, as Research and Development Manager, running working groups in Brazil and Latin America in collaboration with RedClara, latin and north american and european partners. Em Portugues: Doutora em Informática pela PUC-Rio, com enfase em interoperabilidade de bancos de dados. Agora trabalha como Research Engagement Manager na GEANT. No Brasil, professora adjunta da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Foi Diretora do Centro de Estudos e Pesquisa em Administração (CEPA), onde atuou com pesquisas envolvendo ciência de dados para apoio a tomada de decisao em governos e negócios (Business Analytics/Data Science/Aprendizado de maquina). Atuou na coordenação da rede de incubadoras da UFRGS (Reintec) com a missão de integrar esforços e resultados das diferentes incubadoras, integrando a diretoria do Parque Científico e Tecnológico Zenit UFRGS. Pesquisadora em temas relacionados a análise de dados, dados abertos, data-driven, interoperabilidade de dados, linked-data, ontologias e semantica.
