Dan Brody has spent over thirty years in helping to create and grow businesses by providing IT solutions for different industries. In the 80's Dan helped to design a retail POS and billing system that was later adopted by Unisys for North American distribution. In 1988, Dan founded Health Data Services, Inc. (HDS) with the mission of helping the small healthcare provider. In the more than two decades since, HDS has helped thousands of healthcare providers automate their offices with practice management and electronic health records solutions. Dan still serves as CEO.Dan also serves as Manager of Greenwood Partner, LLC, an investor in early stage IT and healthcare related companies. Dan serves on the board of Prolifiq Software and as an advisor to ArcheMedX, LLC and is a former board member of Insmed Pharmaceuticals (INSM Nasdaq) and Plurogen Therapeutics (now controlled by Medicine Industries). Dan is a past chairman and current board member of the advisory board of the Univ of Virginia Department of Emergency Medicine and a past chairman of the Commonwealth of Virginia's Medicaid program. He has also served as a member of the Charlottesville Albemarle Community Foundation.
