The Senior Tax Counsel position coordinates the Tax Department functions at SFS. The Senior Tax Counsel has primary responsibility for research, analysis, and advice on a variety of tax issues involved in sophisticated financing transactions. Specifically, responsibilities include: conceiving and implementing income tax strategies and policies at Siemens Financial Services, Inc., and providing guidance on technical tax issues facing SFS Inc. and Siemens Corporation.

Tax Attorney / CPAFront Office Tax Advisory support for various business units including Private Equity / Alternative Investments, Prime Services,and Emerging Markets.Tax risk management and tax planning responsibility for the non-US Americas region.Areas of focus include international tax planning and financial products.

Advised clients regarding financial product transactions including swaps forwards, and options including the potential interplay of the straddle, hedging, constructive ownership, constructive sale and mark-to-market rules.Lead international tax senior manager for several large multinational financial services clients. Extensive experience with sections 304 and 367, repatriation strategies, subbpart F, foreign tax credit rules, PFIC rules, hybrid entities, section 367, hybrid instruments, cross-border structured finance, foreign currency transactions, and funding transactions. Financial services industry experience

Supervised tax return preparation and review for financial services clients including investment partnerships, hedge funds, banks and broker-dealer entities.Extensive FAS 109 experience.
