Started out part time as a tech while continuing to work at Sunny Hills pharmacy. After a few months started working here full time as a tech.Approximately 2 years after I started working here there was an ownership change. The majority of the staff left at this time however I stayed on board. I quickly assumed the role of lead technician. This included typing in new prescriptions, maintaining the robotic filling machine, ordering medication daily from our various wholesalers. Additional responsibilities included being in charge of all Prior Authorizations, assisting our Medicare customers with selecting new plans via the Medicare.gov website. I was responsible for getting DME Accreditation thru Medicare. I had to set up policies and procedures from scratch as well as train the entire staff on these new policies. I was responsible for assisting any on site auditors by pulling hard copies, sig logs and licenses as requested.

This included going to monthly meetings at our HQ as well as going to trade shows to represent the company. Also after 1 year became the bookkeeper. I would balance the books on a daily basis. After approximately 5 years, I became a licensed tech and assumed some tech duties.
