M/V Logos Hope

Leading a team of volunteers to manage the theatre and conference venues on board the M/V Logos Hope - a charity ship working around Latin America and the Caribbean. Responsible for Audio-Visual systems maintenance and purchasing, system replacements (SD -> HD), training volunteers, coaching, media synchronisation and data management, event planning and co-ordination with the other departments and local bands / organisations, etc.

Developing a POS system for a small company, specific to their needs as a yacht chandler, and an arabic language online magazine and literature site for a charity. Both using Django / Python 3. Taking the sites from concept to production, covering all technical aspects from hosting / provisioning to the front-end javascript, API design, and administration.

Website design, programming (Python, SH, SQL, Go, HTML, JS, CSS, PHP, etc), maintenance, hosting, provisioning, etc. Internal intranet apps, project & file management, system administration, programming and design. Live events video engineering / "racks" & vision engineering, sound recording and FOH mixing, occasional directing, at-event trouble shooting & equipment maintenance. Training volunteer A/V operators in the above skills on Logos Hope and in Carlisle. Editing video (Final Cut Pro, 7 & X), DVD production, including logging, capturing, online and offline editing. Basic sound editing. Script writing for voice-overs, PTC & drama. Acting in, directing and producing video productions.

Running Audio Visual equipment for the various venues on board, as well as teaching and running a small team (4) of volunteers, many with no experience in the above. Managing the technical team of on-shore events, equipment maintenance and documentation of all A/V systems on board.
