Duties: • Launching the Swissflex eyewear brand in South Africa• Management of Sales territory in Gauteng and surrounding areas• Promotion of the Swissflex brand• Handling and the distribution of all stock• Creation of a new customer base I was approached by Clifford Sher (MD) from Hoya Hill Optics to launch their Swissflex Eyewear brand into the South African Market. I was able to do both brands at the same time (Diadora & Swissflex) as I was a free agent working for both companies. This exposed me to dealing with many more accounts.

Duties: • Launching the Diadora eyewear brand from Italy into the South African market• Creating a space in the market for the brand• Promotion and advertising This was my official start in the Sales industry and this is where I started learning how to deal with all different kinds of people. I learnt just how important it is to have good relationships with your customer in order to get your Sales going.

Duties: • Managing the warehouse with a staff of forty people• Insuring orders were packed, checked and sealed for delivery• Monthly stock take• Motivation of staff Working in this environment taught me how to manage staff and be a team leader. The greatest skill was learning to work under pressure for deadlines, especially when handling big orders for accounts such as the Massmart group, Sportsmans Warehouse, Mr Price and Foschinis.
