As a member of Media Support, I continued to be the contact link between the Advertisingand the Editorial department, assisting with issues and problems, whilst planning out partsof the paper and magazines and continuous design work including 4-page wraps, covers andadvertisements. Time management is especially important here as I am often working withmultiple groups of people to make sure the newspaper always goes out before deadline.

As well as continuing my previous role's duties, I also oversee the Production department, making sure everything runs smoothly between other departments and that the Newspaper pages always get to the printers before deadline.

I mainly produce advertisements that go into the newspaper each week, both for in-house features and individual clients. I also design some of the supplement covers and any graphical banners on the front or back pages of the paper. Recently I have also taken on the responsibility of helping the New Media team create site skins for the County Press website, and also assisted other designers with clients visuals such as Maxi Deals and Double-page spreads, some of which are then transferred over to newsprint.

After graduating, I went straight into a freelance job with The Deep Design Company, a graphic design and marketing company, where I have had over three years of design experience, both in print and screen media. This job has allowed me to refine, expand and learn new skills and develop my own way of approaching projects in both a creative and efficient way. I have to manage many tasks at a time with varying deadlines, dealing with different types of clients, working both as part of a team and making decisions and working on projects independently. Recently I have been more involved with the design of websites that the company has developed.
