Responsible for the effective operations of the boiler production on a single piece, self build assembly line, that includes manual and automated processes. We are market leaders, that have a wide range of products, expanding 50+ variants, uk and export. Part of my role is to drive the continuous improvement through people and process, health and safety initiatives, quality control and delivery through skilled operators and well maintained equipment.I am directly involved with all aspects of training, appraisals/reviews, RTW, investigations and disciplinary where needed.I have led and being involved with site DMIAC, kaizen and 5s projects, providing tangible results across new data sources.

Responsible for the effective running of the store, and delivery of £10m revenue and service plans. This included all aspects of store management from daily store walks to ensure all aspects of the store were ‘fit to trade’, to recruitment and management of the team, to analysing the P&L breakdown and ensuring banking and payroll were correctly managed. Successfully led the Sales team to consistently achieve or exceed local branch Sales and KPI targets. Delivered 10% growth Vs previous year and was asked to become a ‘go to’ manager by the Regional Director to help struggling or new managers. Recruited a strong and effective team, which were ranked 2nd Regionally for YonY growth performance and two members of my team were in the top 10 performers YonY. Ranked No.3 Regionally in external customer experience survey Conducted all aspects of team management, including recruitment, regular briefings and training and development, where necessary, disciplinary or grievance processes. Built a strong relationship with external suppliers to increase our product knowledge within the store, winning the external supplier ‘Peak monster’ competition.

Provided high quality service to customers across a wide range of products and services. Ensuring that the store hit its sales and service targets In the latter 18 months was also asked on several occasions to provide management cover when store manager was on holidays and trained most new members of staff during their induction period, or when there was a performance improvement required.

Provide educational and coaching support to underachieving or challenged children. Also provided support in the PE department, to help more children benefit from and enjoy physical exercise. Responsibilities included planning lessons, delivering support and personal mentoring to children. As the hours in this role were not compatible with my new position at Comet I decided to resign and focus on building my full time career.

Playing for Hull City seniors professionally until an injury prevented me from pursuing this further as a career.
