This ranged from accurate and concise hard news stories as well as longer investigative feature articles. • To consistently recognise and cover news stories of direct relevance to the local community such as local council activity stories, crime stories and stories dealing with public affairs and welfare.• Use industry level publication software Fred to design attractive and aesthetically pleasing pages for print. • Routinely carry out telephone, zoom call, skype, and face to face interviews with local government representatives and community members to acquire information and quotations for use in published articles. • Develop an extensive resource of personal contacts both within the community and the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
