Current• Managed a production shift in all aspects of newspaper production from reel loading, reel preparing, CTP operations, press production, mailroom duties and despatch, involved in waste and delivery targets• Trained team members in different skills and modules linked through personal business planning to the salary model• Key player in the team that achieved Webprint ISO 9001 and OHSAS 180001 accreditation• Implemented, improved and wrote SOP's (standard operating procedures)• Lead the print crew which won 3 consecutive newspaper of the year awards and 8 nominations• Organised staff holiday rotas and designed a shift pattern which was implemented by the whole company• Handled customer complaints and resolved in a timely manner• Managed press and print maintenance scheduling using PEMAC software• Involved in key management meetings and decision making• Aware of health and safety issues around the plant• In sole charge and responsibility of the plant during the night shift with 13 full time Webprint staff and other agency and external contractors • Liaise and communicate with customers, suppliers and contractors’
