- Rearchitected deployment process in Octopus and Teamcity to eliminate the need for on-demand deployments that were a constant bottle neck in efficiency and delivery times.- Restructured TeamCity builds to utilize templates and build chains to modularize builds. This enabled faster integration with new projects, and the ability to manage groups of jobs centrally.- Implemented Chef Habitat framework to manage build and runtime dependencies, and increase cloud scalability. The framework allows for an infinitely scalable infrastructure with no additional work to the existing deployment model.- Designed and built Redis clusters for session and content cache database, allowing much faster and reliable caching resulting in elimination of long running issues in the application.- Led POC projects for Chef Habitat, Concourse, Packer, and Spinnaker to prove or disprove viability for our specific ecosystem.- Created automation for build prep tasks using Powershell to create Confluence documentation for a specific release with details embedded, eliminating the need for manual creation of Confluence release notes, saving at least an hours worth of document creation for each release.- Integrated TeamCity and Slack to provide alerts to common channels regarding build contents and status. This empowered engineers to monitor builds in a central location in real-time, get alerts, and respond to failures immediately.- Onboarded and mentored over 20 new team members with required tools, processes, and tribal knowledge.- Attended and held meetings with external teams for project scoping, execution, and status to identify and resolve potential conflicts or blockers.- As a senior member of the original team, I have shared knowledge of all procesesses to new members as they join through hands on training. Also in this role, I have shaped new and old policies to ensure the team remains effective and successful.

At Edgenuity, I helped to architect, build, and manage our software build, deployment and configuration management solutions. I expanded into SQL Server Administration and AWS Infrastructure design and architecture. As our team filling the role of Site Reliability, I am responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues that impact or have the potential to impact functionality of our many application environments.Most recently, I am part of a large effort to migrate our existing infrastructure and application into the cloud, and solving problems we run into along the way. In the process of doing so, I am leading the effort to re-architect our SDLC utilizing Chef Habitat.
