During my time at Horseshoe Casino and Hotel I had the opportunity to observe all aspects of the property including departments such as room service, house keeping, bell service, and maintenance. Most of my time went to overseeing check-in and check out procedures, room assignments, and handling difficult situations for 606 rooms. My coworkers and I were responsible for always maintaining high performance scores through guest satisfaction surveys (maintaining a top rank in the company) and meeting goals in signing guests up for our loyalty program. I personally posted and adjusted charges, communicated back and forth with concierge, and reconciled the cash drawer. In some circumstances I would be responsible for assisting with pre-registering groups of more than 300 people and daily amounts of 80-100. I am proud to say that in the 2 years I was at Horseshoe Casino and Hotel I receive many accolades such as 9 Legendary Service Pins, held a seat on the Property Development Council, and nominated to participate in a Talent Pool for upper management training.
