Daniel is an experienced social worker with over a decade of dedication to the child welfare and trauma sector. His passion lies in helping vulnerable children and families overcome adversity and achieve positive outcomes. Daniel's extensive management experience includes leading large teams of social workers and providing support to families in crisis across the non-government and local government sectors. Whilst at Uniting Vic Tas. Daniel managed one of the largest out-of-home-care programs in Victoria. He has worked closely with government agencies and child protection to ensure the safety and well-being of at-risk children. Throughout his career, Daniel has helped countless families to navigate complex legal journeys, balancing the risks and safety of their children.Daniel holds a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences, a Bachelor of Human Services, and a Master of Social Work. His academic pursuits have given him a deep understanding of the psychological and social factors that contribute to child welfare and trauma. His practical experience has provided him with expert knowledge in this field, where he excels as a skilled counsellor and in crisis and risk management. As part of his cross-training in psychology he is conducting research at the Centre for Forensic and Behavioural Sciences, focused on evidence-based policing of online child sexual exploitation.Daniel is also a skilled social work lecturer and field educator at La Trobe University. He is dedicated to mentoring and developing the next generation of social workers, committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
