★ Work Summary: Moved to New Zealand to work on the Christchurch rebuild following the 2010/2011 earthquakes. At Opus, I worked as an intermediate environmental engineer performing, stormwater pipeline designs, hydraulic/hydrologic calculations, site grading plans, permitting, flood elevation modeling and mitigation design in HEC-RAS, hydrologic/hydraulic models in EPA SWMM 5 and InfoWorks CS and treatment/detention pond sizing. Also did assessment of earthquake damaged waterways and associated infrastructure in the Port Hills One of Christchurch Opus’ significant clients, Selwyn District Council, needed a development engineer to go on secondment to review and manage all new residential, commercial and industrial development within the district and I was chosen to fulfill this role.
