This role was started at the concept phase of a new SMOM system within Kimberly Clark. The main responsibilities of the role included holding key stakeholder alignment prior to kick off, following through a full system design process working with external vendors and a global Kimberly Clark team, working with site engineers to provide any required PLC tags, smoke testing the new system in a quality server by following test scripts and reporting bugs in Azure Dev Ops, attending and reporting in daily and weekly tiered accountability meetings and providing reports to site Tier 4 management on the progress.Whilst fulfilling this role I was able to complete my degree and achieve First Class honors

The key responsibilities within this role were liaising with the project team and the engineering team. Identifying the current gaps within the tags and creating work flows to ensure all the required information was available within the deadline. I then used PI System Management to create and PI Tags required, created machinery templates within PI System Explorer and mapped the associated PI Tags. This ensured all the required information was available to the PI Vision project team to create the KPI dashboards.

This role was predominately a process-based role running a fast paced rolled production line as part of a small self-managing team and carrying out electrical maintenance and improvements. Tasks during shifts included completing 5s standard checks, Centerlining, Quality checks and production planning to ensure all quantities required are produced on time (adherence to schedule). As I progressed into the role, I was given more responsibility covering for the shift leader when they were absent, attending the tiered morning meetings, carrying out electrical work on several other assets, assisting in larger scale electrical work including installation of new equipment and being seconded onto the site project team to assist with the installation of Safe Operator Access (SOA) across all converting assets.During this time I was actively involved in the recruitment of apprentices. From attending college open days and job fairs, to CV sifting, leading interviews and selection of candidates to offer apprenticeships to. Once the apprentices were on site, I gained a qualification in coaching and mentoring to assist in their development into operators.
