I am a freelance motion designer, animator, editor, and creative director, with just shy of a decade's experience in the world of video and animation, working for brands like Red Bull and Lee Kim Lee, alongside educational institutions like National Galleries of Scotland and BBC Bitesize.As a director, my work is more focused on mixed media approaches to educational shorts and documentaries, combining my interests in writing and storytelling with my illustration motion graphics work. Particular highlights have included a series on LGBTQ+ artists for the National Galleries of Scotland, a video revolving around athletes around the world talking about their experiences of mental health, and a documentary for Red Bull, that told the underdog tale of a team of Esports players from the streets of Cairo, coming to win a worldwide tournament.I also work part time at Heehaw as Head of Animation and Illustration, working alongside a host of talented creatives.Heehaw's animation department primarily creates short videos in After Effects for educational or promotional purposes for companies like BBC Bitesize, National Galleries of Scotland, and Red Bull. Recently, Deaf Ninjas have gone on an adventure in order to explain hearing loss to children, monsters have personified different types of renewable energies (think, a biodegradable dung monster, a tidal power queen), or a girl at a desk is whisked off into a fantastical land of animation to promote an international art competition.
